Broker/Developer
A 30-year veteran in the multifamily market, Harold brings his personal commitment and broad range of real estate experience and entrepreneurship to MBG. Harold specializes in complex transactions often requiring a variety of creative financing strategies such as tax-exempt bonds and tax credits. As a result of his expertise in this area, he is frequently asked to consult on different public- and private-sector multifamily projects throughout the region.
In addition to his active brokerage role, Harold is an ardent proponent of affordable housing and sustainable development strategies. To that end, he has created a number of successful real estate partnerships as well as initiated new, innovative housing developments.
His award-winning Jackson Meadow development is one of his proudest achievements. This innovative residential/ conservation concept involves clustering 64 single-family homes on about 40 acres of land—leaving 270 acres undeveloped open spaces and woodlands. In 2005, Teasdale was a winner of the Innovator of the Year Award sponsored by Finance & Commerce.
Harold is also intimately involved in community development activities that support sustainable growth and land restoration. He was president of the Minnesota Land Trust for four years, and was elected to the Great River Greening board in 2005. The Land Trust is a statewide organization that protects the lands and waters primarily through conservation easements. St. Paul-based Great River Greening is a non-profit organization that leads and supports community-based restoration of natural areas.
