Kate Mackin

Director, Marketing & Brokerage Operations

Kate’s responsibilities are diverse—spearheading company marketing efforts, helping identify and procure new property acquisitions, and overseeing daily operations in the Brokerage business.

 

During the past seven years, she has focused on building a more professional, team-oriented operation. As a licensed real estate agent, Kate also has a keen eye for spotting potential acquisitions, and an iron will directed toward getting the deals done.

 

Prior to joining MBG, Kate ran a small business for 10 years called Market Sense. During that time, she assisted large corporations and start-up companies in identifying opportunities for developing new products or entering new markets. She also has an extensive background in marketing, management and research.

 

Kate holds a B.A. degree in journalism and women’s studies from the University of St. Thomas and the University of St. Catherine.

 

 

Maddy Butler

Executive Associate, Sales & Broker

Maddy brings to the team a high level of energy and more than eight years of professional experience in both commercial and residential markets. In her role as Broker’s Associate, she is the whirlwind hub of all brokerage activities—creatively marketing client properties, and guiding the process from due diligence through closings.

On the sales side of her job, Maddy’s niche is frequently smaller properties. Her competence and “take charge” style is especially attractive to newcomers in the market or single property owners wanting to grow their portfolios.

 

Previously with Empire Business Brokers in Bloomington and Ryan Real Estate in Apple Valley, Maddy successfully negotiated commercial sales and acquisitions. She also managed all facets of construction for quality residential developments including high-density housing, mid-market developments and high-end luxury homes.

 

 

 

Jill Weber

Assistant, Administrative & Bookkeeping

When Jill joined MBG three years ago, she hit the ground running and has been building her competencies ever since. Her job is multifaceted: She is the front office focal point for clients and other contacts on the phone and in the office, and the back office bookkeeper for the brokerage business.

 

During her tenure, Jill has become the resident expert concerning all things technical—structuring and organizing office systems, database management, and computer system’s troubleshooting. She is innately well-organized and sets the standards for the rest of the office.

 

Prior to MBG, Jill provided administrative support for Capital Alliance Mortgage in Plymouth, and for Mid-America Festivals in Shakopee (aka the Renaissance Festival).
